From verification and setting your availability to completing jobs and receiving reviews, this guide explains the main TaskLocal Professional journey.
Register as a Professional and provide the information required to set up your TaskLocal account.
TaskLocal may require documents including identification, proof of address and Right to Work / UK Status information as part of Professional verification.
TaskLocal reviews the submitted documents before activating the Professional account.
If documents need correction, you may be asked to resend them while the application remains pending. An application may also be approved or rejected following review.
After approval, select the services and specialisations that you provide.
TaskLocal uses these selections to determine which jobs are relevant to your Professional account.
Create future work slots with the dates and times when you are available.
Your onboarding is completed when the required setup, including specialisations and future availability, has been completed.
Browse available opportunities that match your selected specialisations.
TaskLocal prevents a Professional from accepting jobs outside their selected specialisations.
Submit your price and the relevant information for the Customer to consider.
The Customer can compare available offers before selecting a Professional.
Where the Customer proposes a counter-offer, you can decide whether to accept it.
The accepted offer or counter-offer becomes the final agreed price.
After you are selected, the Customer can be asked to choose one of the future work slots you have made available.
The Customer normally pays a TaskLocal platform fee of 3% of the final agreed price, subject to any eligible voucher or applicable adjustment.
Your Professional-side fee does not replace the Customer's separate TaskLocal platform fee.
The normal Professional TaskLocal platform fee is 3% of the final agreed price.
Your amount payable may be reduced where an eligible TaskLocal free-fee benefit, fee credit, voucher or other applicable account benefit is available.
Once the required Customer and Professional platform-fee steps are completed, TaskLocal can move the booking to its assigned stage.
Protected contact details become available according to the platform's booking rules.
A Professional can start a booking only when the required Customer and Professional platform-fee statuses are paid.
When you start the job, TaskLocal changes its status to in progress and notifies the Customer.
When you finish the work, mark the job as complete from TaskLocal.
The booking then moves to awaiting confirmation. It is not yet finally completed.
TaskLocal asks the Customer to confirm that the work has been completed and leave their feedback.
Once the Customer confirms it, the job status becomes completed.
The Customer provides a rating from 1 to 5 stars together with written feedback when confirming completion.
TaskLocal uses Professional reviews to update the Professional's displayed rating.
After completion has been confirmed, you can also leave a rating and written review for the Customer.
