Not all professionals on TaskLocal are verified. Look for the TaskLocal Verified badge on professional profiles. This badge means TaskLocal has reviewed the professional's identity document and proof of address. Verified professionals are given priority placement in search results.
Professionals without the Verified badge may still use TaskLocal and send offers, but their identity has not yet been verified by TaskLocal. Customers should compare profiles carefully and carry out appropriate checks before hiring.
Verification provides additional identity information, but it is not a guarantee of workmanship, behaviour, qualifications, licensing, insurance or future performance.
TaskLocal is designed to prevent phone numbers, email addresses and other protected contact information from being exchanged prematurely through offers and marketplace communications.
Contact information becomes available only when the required booking steps have been completed.
If a professional cancels, a booking doesn't go as expected, or you believe another user has broken TaskLocal's rules, contact support and provide as much information as possible.
TaskLocal can review marketplace activity and take appropriate action under its Terms & Conditions. Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances, services already supplied and applicable law.
